Organize Your Life in 5 Minutes A Day

Here’s something you can do to get better organized – and it’ll take you just 5 minutes!

Organize an ‘Outgoing’ Space

  1. Gather any items that need to be taken ‘out’ – books to return, DVDs for the store, a gift for an upcoming party, items for errands, etc.
  2. Choose a convenient spot near the door for these items – such as a shelf in a hallway closet, or a drawer in a hall table. Or move a small table to an appropriate position near the door.
  3. Place your outgoing items in their new position, so you can check one convenient place whenever you’re heading out.

And you’re done!

You’ll be much more organized with one central spot for all outgoing items.

Remember: 1. Move fast. 2. Don’t overthink. 3. Feel great about getting organized!

Start the 5-minute timer now.

This 5-minute organizing action is from the Organize in 5 e-program,

I have a vanity by the front door, the left hand side is what I call my Launch Pad for outgoing items, the right hand side is my Landing Pad where incoming mail and papers go. The centre section is where I keep my purse. The drawers are used for various things like hats and gloves, dog collars and leashes, various size bags, and so on. Works like a charm.
