Minimize the mail.

1. Check your mailbox.
2. Deposit flyers and catalogues straight into the recycle bin. Only bring them into the house if you have the time and interest to look at them.
3. Open mail and put envelopes and promotional inserts straight into the recycle bin.
4. Place mail in each person’s in-tray. For instance, bills go into the tray of the person who pays them.
5. Place items for general information on the noticeboard.

And you’re done!

Adopt this as your daily mail routine and you’ll avoid a huge amount of confusion and paper clutter.

I'm actually pretty good at this task, hurray! I tend to open my mail while the kids are out the front playing. This means I read the mail, then toss what's not needed straight into the recycle bin. It stops me from building a 'pile' of paper on my kitchen bench.
