10 Things I’m Thankful For On Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving just hours away, it’s time to share what we’re thankful for this year.

Here’s my humble thanksgiving list. What’s on yours? Share on our social channels or in the comments below!

(BTW if you’re looking for more – check out our post last year with 100 Things to be Thankful For At Thanksgiving)

1. Family

For some of us, there’s nothing quite like the joy of family, especially during the holiday periods. You’ll remember the time you spend together forever and there’s always new memories to be made. Try out a new activity or go somewhere new with your family this year!

However if being with your family doesn’t bring you joy then try to make the best of the moment. Being forced to have family time can be very stressful, so manage your time, and be thankful you don’t have to see them everyday!

2. Friends

While most of our time might seem to be devoted to kids, work and family life it’s good to take some time out to catch up with old friends or make new ones. Everyone needs someone to share embarrassing stories and have a laugh.

3. Health

Being thankful for your own health and the health of your family and friends makes the holidays even better. For those of you struggling with health or with grief in the family, we hope that you have the support you need to cope with the changes.

4. Coffee

You’ll be needing lots of coffee over the holidays! Early mornings spent travelling to see family and getting through to-do lists before the holidays means coffee is necessary and I’m extremely thankful for it!

5. Food

If you’re a foodie then you’ll be very excited about all the delicious food you’ll be tasting over the holidays. If you don’t have any tasty food to look forward to think about organizing a BBQ with friends and get everyone to bring a dish!

6. Binge Watching

The holidays can be busy but if you’re lucky you’ll find yourself with nothing to do on a weekend! Don’t make plans if you don’t want to! This is the perfect time to binge watch something on Netflix. Put on your guilty pleasure show and just binge.

7. Learning Something New Every Day

Thanks to the internet, you have a database of new skills to learn and news to catch up on. If you’re not feeling so in touch with the world this holidays, take a step back and do a free online course in any topic that interests you, or watch some educational YouTube videos!

8. Quiet Time

A busy holiday period necessitates some quiet time spent alone. Whether you like to meditate, listen to music with headphones or go for a stroll with your dog, take some time out for you.

9. Holidays

Some of us are probably overwhelmed by the holiday period coming up. As long as you stay organized and know what is happening and when it’s happening, you’ll cope much better! Try to find enjoyment in the little things, make great memories, and enjoy the time with your family and friends.
