30-Day Organize-athon | Week 1 Prizes For Getting Organized

From Procrastination To Action 2-Volume Set

I’m so excited by the amazing response to the 30-Day Organize-athon!

Well over a thousand people have committed to getting organized for spring and completing the 5-minute organizing task each day for the 30 days of April.

And hundreds of people are checking in each day, either here on the blog or on the relevant post on my Facebook page.

Best of all has been the wonderful changes many of you are telling me about in the comments – a sense of finally getting free of clutter and chaos, of getting organized and feeling fabulous! I love it!

Isn’t it surprising how much you can achieve in just 5 minutes?  Even more surprising is how easy it is to keep going once you’ve made a start. A lot of you have commented on this, and thanked me for giving you the motivation to begin.

Well, I want to thank you – for rising to the challenge, for making the commitment, for persevering each day, and for helping to make the world a happier, more organized place. You guys are awesome!

This week’s winners are:  Natalie Edwards Johnson (Facebook commenter)  and Danielle (blog commenter). You’ll each be contacted shortly about your prizes (or contact HelpDesk@GetOrganizedWizard.com if your prefer).

Each winner receives the From Procrastination To Action Workbook Set, containing Volume 1 and Volume 2.

I created these workbooks in response to reader requests for me to collate my best tips and most motivating blog posts into one attractive, easy-to-read, downloadable PDF.

The two volumes together contain more than 100 posts on getting organized, decluttering, productivity, and time management (you can see the topics here and here), across more than 400 pages. Plus there’s an interactive action to-do list for every post – so you can turn that motivation into action right away. Open at any page and you’ll find a fresh, motivating idea to help you get better organized and move from procrastination to action. There are also live links to free downloads.

There are more prizes to come in the weeks ahead, including The Works! Pack, which contains our entire collection of organizing and productivity products and membership programs, including the hugely popular 52 Missions Home Organizer, Life & Goal Organizer, Design Your Life, My Business Organizer, plus much, much more!

So keep doing your 5-minute organizing tasks and checking in each day on the relevant blog post or on the relevant post on my Facebook page.

And I’ll see you shortly for Day 9’s task. Smile

A big “THANK YOU” to those who sent out your sweet congratulations to me! And, of course, I can’t possibly begin to thank Michele enough for encouraging us to take on this challenge and for the fabulous ebook gift. I wholeheartedly agree with so many of the posters that it is amazing how much a small change can affect your mindset – I am so much more aware of keeping the (few but multiplying!) uncluttered areas clear.

I love feeling a part of such an encouraging group of springtime organizers. Thanks again, Michele! I can’t wait to dive into my books!!!

    Hi

Congrats Natalie and Danielle hope the prizes are put to good use

I agree with others as well
Even though i havent won a competition yet i feel i have the biggest prize as now not only does the 5 minute task of the day get done but i also check if anything in the previous tasks need doing
My lounge now is staying decluttered and I am loving it as every night while sitting here on my computer while waiting for a game to load or for a gift from a friend in the game to arrive i declutter the lounge back to the state of its first night In the bathroom i make sure my cabinet and towels are staying neat after my shower
In the kitchen i check to see if anything is creeping back into my drawer from the family
All this is done before i go to bed each night so that i have a tidy house to wake up to each day which makes me feel better than getting up to a mess

Thank you so much Michelle for turning me into a better person each day 5 minutes at a time

    Luv Deb

I think I forgot to post last night about cleaning out my linens. Huge bag of “old, worn or tatty”. Loved it.

This one will be quick. I keep my laundry area pretty neat.

the motivation is a terrific gift, and I agree with the comments that we are *all* winners, with a sense f accomplishment being the prize . Thanks again.

About the laundry room: mine’s a high ceiling closet with a single shelf and a rod running across where I keep hangars. Not even enough room for my ironing board, so my NEXT 5+ minutes are going to be spent finding a more suitable spot to store it which won’t require me to carry it up or down stairs.

…and them more time on the paper clutter and the books, now that you’ve helped me get a start in that area. ciao

Yes, I feel like a winner too. I’ve been decluttering on and off for years, but I couldn’t find the motivation to revisit every area to get the last 5-10 percent out….. until now :).

  6. Kathy says:

Gotta tell you, I’ve been telling myself I’m unorganized…but most of the tasks have been easy because I have done them recently. Like today, I cleaned my laundry room recently. I only have a hamper that has odds and ends and a broken iron. I will probably mop the floor to make up the extra 5 minutes. I guess I am more organized than I thought. Thanks…a lot of negative self talk has turned into positive now. Not sure I would have noticed if not for doing these taks.

i agree with Marla. I feel lke a winner too! I’m excited that it’s spread to other areas – ie: after cleaning out the cd’s in the basement, I found myself doing it to the ones in my car. Also, I’m getting the kids and hubby involved. I’m HOPING that by the end of the month, we’ll be able to pare down some toys!!! THAT would a an awesome miracle!!
    Thanks again!

Yea, yea, congrats to the winners! But I do have to say I’d be a lot happier if I would have won! 🙂 I’m having a great time doing all of these challenges and getting more than just the 5 minutes out of it so it’s helping me beyond what it’s supposed to! Thanks SO much!!!
