Start from wherever you are
and with whatever you’ve got.
~ Jim Rohn
If there’s one thing more powerful than any other for achieving your goals, it’s this:
You must make a start.
Knowledge is useless unless you do something with it. Talent is wasted unless you let it move you to action. Desire is frustration unless you turn it into effort.
Whether you want to write a novel, learn to play the piano, declutter your home, organize your life, lose weight, start a business, become more productive, or achieve some other goal - you’ll never get anywhere until you first get somewhere.
Don’t let yourself be put off by the size of the goal, or your age, or what others say, or the difficulty of the journey.
As long as obstacles are your focus, you’ll stay stuck.
Instead, think about what you can do, what action you can take, to begin the journey.
Then let the momentum grow and fuel you to continue and persist.
Yes there’ll be challenges, but you’ll grow with your goal. As you do more, you’ll be able to do more.
If you want to make 2013 the year you achieve your goals, then:
- Decide what you want.
- Start. From wherever you are. With whatever you’ve got.
Who’s joining me?
How will you start?
