Welcome to Day 8 of 14 Days to an Organized Closet.
Today’s task will take 15-30 minutes.
Now that we’ve finished with the hanging and shelved areas of the closet, let’s turn to our drawers. And also our drawers*. See what I did there?
Yup, today we’ll declutter and organize our underwear drawer(s).
Let’s do it…

All done and I have ordered online a few bits that needed topping up.
since I bought drawer dividers, I have had better luck at controlling what goes back in and where they are placed, seems easier now to pitch something rather than putting it back in the drawer
Finished all the drawers. Never thought about organizing these drawers, just always threw everything in. Love the sort job 🙂
I’m not sure why I always where the same bra when I have so many beautiful bras that fit. Tomorrow I will take on trying on lingerie that I had before I had kids. I hold on to it like I’m going to where it but the reality is I most likely wont. We will see when I try it on if anything inspires me.
I enjoyed this one and managed to chuck away three pairs of drawers (liked your joke, I am British so got the reference immediately!) and a bra. My bras are ANCIENT so am planning to buy two new ones tomorrow and once I have those, chuck two more away. This program is definitely working, it’s taking me a long time but tomorrow I’ve also set aside time for a “Bedroom Blitz” so will tackle the big clothes pile in the corner before moving to the next task.
Happy New Year – 2015 is DEFINITELY the year I declutter xx
Your underwear is the foundation of every outfit.
Every woman should have clean underwear tops that fit comfortably.
Uncomfortable – rides up, twists, itchy fabric, etc. Discard the under top.
Color and style is a personal choice but make sure it is comfortable.
That was pretty easy. Although I’m going to have to find an afternoon to go through all my socks that have lost their mates… that’s a whole other task in and of itself :s.
Ha ha thats sounds like fun!
Hahahah “Sports bra. Um, for exercise”. 🙂
That was easy! Threw most of it out. I was looking for an excuse to buy new stuff. Now that’s a motivating reward to clear out the drawers. Whoopee!
I’m glad you trusted that instinct, Pat! On Day #13 we shop! (Or at least make a list.) 🙂
Another task complete, adding to the overall joy of having an organised wardrobe. Have separated black underwear and nude colour underwear into two separate drawers. Hoping that with the next task I will free up one drawer to leave empty for future purchase of special lingerie. I will use this as a reward once I reach the next weight loss milestone in a few weeks!
Ooh I like that reward Vesna!
