Our group responses are as follows: You will need five bags or boxes for:discard/trash; donate/charity; repair; cleaning; shoes
Remove everything from your closet. Sort the clothes and items in your closet.
Donate: Needs constant re-adjustment; doesn’t suit your lifestyle; Makes you look less than your best; you just don’t love
Discard:Is a shape that doesn’t suit you = if it loses its elastic waist or shape; Is in poor condition or looks worse for wear; Feels itchy or scratchy against your skin; Feels uncomfortable; Is ill-fitting (too loose, tight, short, etc) = if it can’t be altered.
Donate or Discard: Has bad memories or associations; is a color that doesn’t suit you = try to mix and match the outfit after one year then donate or discard
Is out of style= if the style looks good on you wear it
Hasn’t been worn in the past 12 months = evaluate the outfit and it may be for formal occasions = keep
Repair: Needs alteration; mended: new buttons, zippers, etc.
    Needs laundering
Needs re-heeling, if the shoes can be fixed reasonably then have them repaired otherwise purchase a new pair of shoes
Once you have completed the above Take the discard bag out to the trash right away
Put the charity and cleaning or repair bags in a convenient location in your home until you take to charity or dry cleaning or seamstress
Place the laundry in a convenient location to take to the laundry room
