52 Organizing Missions

Welcome to Mission 24 of our 52 Get Organized Missions.

One of the secrets to personal organization is to do a little every day. Unless you actually enjoy cleaning, filing and organizing (I sure don’t!), it’s more enjoyable and effective to focus on daily or weekly chores than massive, exhausting sprees.

So this week we’ll create a chore chart for your weekly or daily home organizing tasks.

Remember: you only need 30 minutes for the basic mission. Extended Options are below.

The following are the charts we would use:
Daily Chore Chart: Make your bed; Feed your pets; Water your plants; Tidy up the Kitchen; Tidy up the Bathroom; take your trash out.
Weekly Chore Chart: Monday Dust & Vacuum; Tuesday Errand Day; Wednesday De-clutter your mail; Thursday De-clutter an area in your home; Friday Attend Organizational Skills at RC; Saturday Activity Day; Sunday Optional Free Day
Bi- Monthly: Laundry and shopping for items you need; grocery shopping; banking
Monthly Chore Chart: Sterilize the Kitchen including the refrigerator/freezer; Sterilize the Bathroom; Sweep& Mop the floors
Seasonal [spring, summer and fall]: wash your windows; if you own your home maintain the outside of your property.
